Bullying in school
School life
Bullying is a big problem in our schools, particularly for children with special educational needs or those growing up in poverty.
Children growing up in poverty or with special educational needs are twice as likely to be bullied as children from better-off homes or without special educational needs.
Two million children were bullied in the last year, according to their parents, equivalent to one in five children. Strict schools see less bullying and overall parents are happier with how bullying incidents are dealt with in those schools.
