Parents who say their child’ s school is not strict are twice as likely to say their child’ s learning is sometimes disrupted in lessons, compared to parents who say their child’ s school is strict( 43 % vs 22 %)
Children from the poorest families are almost 50 % more likely to have their learning disrupted due to poor behaviour than children from better-off families( 29 % vs 20 %)

• More than a quarter of parents( 27 %) say their child ' s school isn’ t strict
• Three in ten parents( 31 %) with a child at primary school say their school isn’ t strict but this falls to one in four( 23 %) parents with a child at secondary school
• Eight in ten( 80 %) parents with a household income over £ 100,000 say that their child ' s school is strict, this falls to two-thirds( 66 %) of parents with a household income under £ 100,000. 80 % of parents in London and 79 % in Northern Ireland say their child’ s school is strict
