Having a child with special educational needs is tough on parents, with more than a quarter of these parents taking time off work or giving up work altogether.
Parents of children with special educational needs are hard hit, suffering from mental health problems, extra financial strain and added tensions at home. Nearly a million parents of children with special educational needs have mental health problems as a result.
