Provision of special educational needs support

Special educational needs
Most children with special educational needs are not receiving the support they need.
Once again we see big differences by income, where the support children receive and how easy it is to get is influenced by household income. Almost three quarters of parents with household incomes over £ 100,000 have found it easy to get the support they need for their child compared to just under half of parents with household incomes under £ 50,000, with the poorest parents twice as likely to say getting extra help has been difficult compared to parents with the highest incomes.
