Parents are worried about their children ' s safety.
Violent crime is a big worry for parents, with many telling us they regularly worry about their children falling victim to knife crime, physical or sexual assault.
We all know that poverty isn’ t just about a lack of money- for parents it also means they are more likely to be worried about their children’ s physical safety. The poorest parents are more than twice as likely to regularly worry about their children being physically assaulted than parents with the highest incomes. Child grooming is another big worry for parents, with about two in five parents telling us they worry about their children being groomed.
