The purpose of school

School life
Parents don’ t want schools to be exam factories- just a fifth of parents think prepping children to pass exams is an important priority for school.
UK parents prioritise creativity and independent thinking above teaching to pass exams. Parents are almost twice as likely to say it is more important to educate children in a broad range of subjects than instilling strong moral values.
Schools should be schools, according to parents, and prioritise education and life skills rather than providing welfare services or training future workers.
